Tour of California and Racing Fans!!
What a great event this year and our home town peddler Levi Leipheimer won his third Tour in a row! The Astana Cycling Team took top team honors and what a thrill to see Lance Armstrong racing the streets of Santa Rosa. Levi brought his team to Santa Rosa and Sonoma County to train and wow did that work!!
Now get a chance to see Levi as he helps us kick off our fundraising for next year’s Tour. We must have the bid into the race organizers in May, so we need to start right away. Levi has graciously agreed to do a question and answer session AND we have some fabulous live auction items and raffle prizes with ALL proceeds going to directly to next years bid.
Thank you to Sizzling Tandoor Indian Restaurant for hosting this event and donating food and the location.
If you have an auction or raffle item to donate, please reply and we will give you a call. Get your friends and bike supporters out and let’s show we want to keep the Tour coming back and support Levi’s run at number 4!!
Thank you,
Ms. Mo McElroy

Review by Upbeat Timesby Paul Andrew Doyle of the UpBeat Times I’m not sure how long it was that I last had the opportunity to dine at Sizzling Tandoor, but my guess was it was in early 2002. Why it took so long to return I have no idea. It was always delicious. But raising a couple of children and running this newspaper...
